Movember is a cause that everyone can get behind. This year Gillette’s #Mo4aBro campaign encourages everyone — women and families too — to get involved. And we can’t wait to join in!
Gillette has been Movember’s official Shave Care partner since 2012, and every year, the UK’s number one male grooming brand successfully campaigns to spread the word to its own audience and beyond, to highlight the critical work Movember does. (Follow them on @GilletteUK.)
Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world since 2003. The charities that it supports address issues that affect millions of men along with their families and friends: prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health & suicide prevention.
Here at BritMums we love how Gillette supports Movember in making the difference in men’s health, transforming the way health services reach and support men.
We also love that you don’t need to be a natural-born moustache-grower to get involved! Women and families can participate in meaningful ways that are fun, engaging and make a difference!
Here, we share great Movember ideas for the office, inspiration for a Movember party at home or ways to donate at the shops. Get started with the Gillette #Mo4aBro campaign now!
Don your own moustache
This is arguably one of the funnest ways women and families can get involved and one area where it’s fine to fake it! Grab a stick-on furry moustache, draw one on with eyeliner, create one with your hair… In other words, improvise. You’ll look fabulous whatever you solution and you’ll be doing something fabulous as well. (Share your pics with us with the #Mo4aBro hashtag!)
Join up with Gillette
Gillette has been Movember’s official Shave Care partner since 2012. Every year, the UK’s number one male grooming brand successfully campaigns to spread the word to its own audience and beyond, to highlight the critical work Movember does. When you buy a Gillette razor pack from Tesco you’re not only helping the proliferation of well-groomed moustaches in your family, you are donating, with 1 pack = 1 donation. (Go here to purchase!) Spread the word so others know as well!
Host a Movember event
Movember encourages everyone to be part of the host and move initiative. Host can mean a bake sale at the office, a tea party at home, a dinner party with friends, whatever you like! The point is to get folks together, highlight the causes that Movember supports and create an opportunity for folks to support them as well…possibly by eating. Your event can inspire donations and conversations, and you can collect donations or encourage guests to sign up on the Movember site right there and then.
And just think of the opportunities: moustaches at every place setting, little moustache cupcakes or cookies, a competition for the most outrageous ‘stache (natural or otherwise). Have fun and host!
Move can mean setting yourself a physical challenge, doing an activity with friends, planning an active outing or anything else that promotes moving in Movember. Run a race in a costume! Learn to swim! Climb every mountain…or maybe just one…and share your motivation with those around you.
Support your men to #Mo4aBro
The power of Movember is that it brings people together, making the difference in men’s health and transforming the way health services reach and support men. Support the men in your life to #Mo4aBro and celebrate things getting a little hairy at home!
