Jomboy on Baseball: Juan Soto versus Josh Hader to Decide the NL Wild Card Game

Baseball analyst and fan, Jomboy, breaks down the first of many epic MLB Playoff moments.

October Baseball has arrived.  The first games of the playoffs nowadays are the Wild Card play-in games and the first Wild Card Game, the NL Wild Card match-up between the Washington Nationals and the Milwaukee Brewers was a doozy!

Milwaukee – even after losing their best player and last year’s MVP – finished the season stronger than any team in baseball. Their best pitcher is their do-everything filthy reliever, Josh Hader.

Washington – who lost Bryce Harper to free agency this off-season and got off to a horrendous start – righted the ship and made the playoffs behind a well-diversified offense led by wunderkind 20 year-old outfielder Juan Soto and the three-headed monster of Max Scherzer, Steven Strasburg, and Patrick Corbin in the starting rotation.

Scherzer got the start, but it was Milwaukee that jumped out to 3-1 lead. They brought in Hader to finish things off. That’s when things got interesting…

Here is Jomboy with the breakdown:
